Our School

A Letter from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to Netherton Northside First School. We hope that the information on this website will tell you about our aims and objectives, as well as give a flavour of what we are offering to pupils. We work hard to meet every child’s needs. As children begin their education with us, at whatever age, we will ensure that we do everything to make the transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

We try to build up the confidence of every child in a variety of ways, and enable every child to experience success, both socially and educationally. We also make every effort to encourage independence in tasks as well as with their friends. We learn to respect everyone within our school and local community, and have encouraged and valued their contribution.

We work alongside parents and carers to extend the child’s learning experiences at home too. By working together, we celebrate their achievements and support your child together. Our school is a happy place, where small numbers have enabled us to nurture children to reach their full potential.

As your child joins our community, I would hope that you would contact me if you are unsure about any aspect of school life, or need advice on other forms of support available to you.

Yours faithfully

Mrs Sarah C Smith

Headteacher

'The Vision at Netherton Northside First School'

Our school has created a happy, bright and

stimulating environment where children are

highly motivated to develop a wide variety of

knowledge and skills and a love of learning.

Everyone here works together as a team to

create a caring family atmosphere which

embraces children, staff, parents, governors

and the wider community.

We provide a broad curriculum that promotes

equality, excellence, inclusion and high

expectations through exciting and

enriching experiences.

At this school, good behaviour and positive

attitudes combine, allowing every member of

the school and the wider community to grow

through its existence.

Living, learning and laughing together.
